Our Mission

 

We started in 2001 as the newest High School in Sarasota County with only 16 students in the marching band program.  Today, we have over 300 students involved with  a variety of ensembles to meet all our young artists at any musical level.  We are Sarasota’s South County Performing Arts Program.  Our program includes Concert, Symphonic, Wind Ensemble,  (2) Jazz bands, Percussion and Traditional Marching Band.   North Port High School offers the perfect environment to excel in the musical arts.  Our attitude is that of teamwork and being one unit.  We are all where we are today due the commitment of the entire organization.  We provide a platform of mentor-ship, enthusiasm and dedication to everyone involved.  Respect and collaboration are our core values; it is all about our unity.  All who participate grow musically and gain leadership skills.  We have  a strong relationship with the City of North Port, performing at holiday parades,  community events and annual concerts at our Performing Arts Center.  In our band programs, students take away life long skills and memories to last a lifetime.
