At North Port High School, we offer a variety of music programs for all musicians at all levels.

Band Programs

​

We offer Concert band, Symphonic band and Wind ensemble.  Under the direction of Dr. Owen Bradley, our bands are offered as classes throughout the school year and we perform at the North Port Performing Arts center in the winter and spring.  We may also perform at other community events.  Our students work hard and as they progress, they move on to the next level.

Jazz Bands

​North Port High School offers two Jazz Bands.  They continue to earn superiors at MPA.  Both jazz classes are offered throughout the school year.  Jazz 1 is a vigorous class specializing in true jazz techniques from Jazz legends like Duke Ellington and Buddy Rich.  Jazz 1 also participates in the Essentially Ellington competition.  Jazz 1 is also available for private shows... contact us to make reservations!

Tri-M

 

At North Port High School, we offer Tri-M, an honor society recognizing our musicians.  2018 was the first year the program was offered and was very successful.  Many of our students not only excel in music, but academically and should be recognized for their efforts.
